What do you think motivates a person to quit his day job and go web working full time? Well, there are many reasons and each individual has his own story. But overall, I think one of the primary reason behind this decision is that we think we’ll have more time for ourselves and our family, and we’ll be our own boss.
Just wanted to let you guys know that one of my projects, Mployd.ph recently received honorable mention at SEOmoz’ Web 2.0 Award.
Some coverage from my blog over here and the official Mployd blog over here.
Have a great weekend guys!

There was an issue on the RSS feed the past few days. It was some characters showing on the project title. Those were single and double quotes not properly decoded on the XML. What I should have done is instead of just placing:
htmlspecialchars_decode($str);
It should be:
htmlspecialchars_decode($str,
ENT_QUOTES);
The latter will decode both double and single quotes.
Next time, I’ll re-read the PHP manual again. :) It was a “duh” moment for me.
It should be good now at http://feeds.feedburner.com/PinoyLancer
Thanks!

A very good read for all freelancers.

We all know that most freelancers don’t want to go and scour the web for active projects to just find out that there’s nothing for them to take on. That might just be a waste of time.
Well, I’ve been a freelancer most of my life and I know how freelancers feel. Having said that, we’ve enabled RSS and Email Alerts powered by Feedburner (pretty reliable).
You can subscribe to PinoyLancer.com’s RSS (XML feed) and Email alerts to save you time visiting the site.
