Responsibilities

As Linux Server - Administrator you are responsible for running and maintaining our web servers, which run on Linux. This is a contract basis, part-time position, but it is likely to become a full-time position by 3rd quarter 2008. The Server Administrator duties include but are not limited to the following:
• General Administration of our Linux servers.
• Installation, configuration and management of various web sites and web based applications installed on our Linux servers.
• Manage system security – anti virus – spy ware, spam etc.
• System maintenance, optimization and trouble shooting
• Software and hardware purchasing
• Data backup and recovery
• Available to work a minimum of 5 hours a week.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years employment history as hands-on System Administrator
• BS in Computer Science or other computing degree
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Highly knowledgeable in Linux Administration
• Knowledge in Windows Administration a major plus but not a requirement
• Applicant should live in Manila and be able to travel to Makati as required.
• Applicant must have own PC and Linux Admin software with Internet connection.
