Book summaries wanted (we will pay PHP300.00 each)

ABOUT US

Kumusta! We are a small Australian-based company currently building a share investment education website. Our goal is to help everyday people to learn how to manage and invest their own money.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

We are looking for several people who can help us write short book summaries (1 to 2 pages long). There are currently over 300 books to summarise covering topics such as investing, wealth creation, finance, business, biographies, personal development, sales & marketing and many others.

The task is ideally suited for people who have an interest in investing, finance and business matters, but otherwise does not require any prior experience (you really just need to have strong writing skills, keen attention to detail and a love for reading).

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• The main thing we want to see in the book summary is that a reader should be able to understand the key points of the book, and even apply them in practice.

• The structure of each book summary will basically follow the book’s table of contents.

• The book summary will be in bullet point form, rather than in a typical essay or book review style format (so it should be a lot easier and quicker to produce).

• You simply need to identify the two, or in some cases three, key points of each chapter – then write those key points down. Aim to have each bullet point go for about 2 or 3 lines only (more or less).

• The entire summary should be no more than two (2) A4 pages, or 850 words, in length.

CONCLUSION

• The books will obviously vary in sizes (number of pages to read) and depth of content. Some books will be very short and easy to read, while others will be long and a bit technical. Given the large volume we are dealing with, however, we will pay a flat rate for each book regardless of size or content for the sake of convenience.

• Payment will be calculated on a PER BOOK basis. The number of books allocated to any one individual will depend largely on the quality of their work and their capacity.

• We will pay PHP P300.00 per book summary .

• We are looking to develop a long-term relationship with candidates who can produce high quality work as there is a lot more work (website content writing) involved in building our website besides book summaries (eg. preparing short biographies of top investors, compiling dictionary of investment terms, etc.).
