We would like to ask who can help us develop and implement a customized e-commerce solution for our client, an online training institute which provides elearning courses, specific to adult learners. The client is currently using a commercial shopping cart service (Volusion), but would like to migrate into something more specific to their requirements. This solution will integrate with the institute's CMS (Joomla), and eventually integrate with the enrollment and learning management system (Moodle) that we are currently using and/or developing.
Some of the requirements include the following:
- products: individual courses or course packages (i.e., bundled courses at package prices)
- products: annual membership subscription to the institute's alumni and professional network
- for each course ordered, user can select schedule of classes (i.e., starting month-year)
- bulk sales (i.e., institutional sales) of courses - buyers can purchase multiple seats for courses or course packages
- corporate sales of memberships - buyers can purchase multiple membership subscriptions or renewals
- discount codes can be applied to the total order amounts
- payment methods accepted: authorize.net (credit card payments), paypal, google checkout, wire transfer (monitored manually), check by mail (monitored manually)
- surcharge to be added to total amount depending on payment method selected
- payment terms: COD (one time payment, applicable to all payment methods) or installment (2-4 months, applicable only to courses/course packages and only to certain payment types)
- surcharges to be computed and added to the total amount if payment by installment
- entry of collections
- monitoring of accounts receivable
